Brighton’s Distinkt is rapidly building a well-deserved reputation within the UK Bass scene. The young producer blew up in 2017 with standout track ‘Chinatown’ and followup ‘Slim Shady’, which have racked up over 2 million cumulative plays on SoundCloud. Recent EP ‘Brands’ was released via Chris Lorenzo’s Bass Mentality imprint. Other heavy-hitting supporters include Holy Goof, My Nu Leng and Rudimental, who asked Distinkt to produce an official remix of their track ‘Sun Comes Up’
2019 has seen Distinkt release his dancefloor anthem ‘Shegs’ on his own label Systematic Sauce. Touring wise he joined Holy Goof as part of his sold out UK tour ‘Globes’. With an EP scheduled for Diplo’s ‘Mad Decent’ label which showcases Distinkt working across genres and bpms, expect the young producer to again push boundaries and redefine Bass Music.
‘Shredding up the UK bass ranks like nobody’s business, Distinkt has already been causing quite a stir with heavyweight 4×4 blasters and well-crafted intoxicating riffs on the likes of Crucast, Southpoint and his own shady source of dubplate bootlegs,’ UKF.
