We’ve got so many hot acts playing at Sundown 2017, it’s pretty hard to know where to start and who to check out first! To give you a helping hand over the weekend we’ve enlisted the help of Chanel McKenzie from Access to Music, who has kindly created a list of ‘Ones To Watch’ over the weekend.

Chanel said “These are artists that you may know or may have never listened to before; however I believe will put on a great show for you, they are a must see! So I’m going to jump straight in, here goes.”

The man who has been in the Grime scene for years. First kicking off his debut album back in 2009 and has now just finished his first official UK tour after releasing his album, ‘Landlord’ which reached number two in the UK Album Charts. You may know Giggs from his most popular song ‘Lock Doh’ which features Donea’o. But be sure to know he will be performing many of his bangers that may re-jog your memory! Giggs is a very well respected artist due to bringing constant talent to the mic. He has collaborated with artists including Drake, Kano and Lethal Bizzle. He’s an un-missable act!

The man himself… The Godfather of Grime. If you’re a Grime fan, then you cannot miss this performance, it will be a MUST see. For those of you that aren’t specifically into Grime, Wiley will cater for everyone, especially with his commercial hits, ‘Heatwave’ and ‘Wearing My Rolex’. As well as being most famous for his solo career, he has previously been in a groups called Pay As U Go and Roll Deep which featured artists such as Tinchy Stryder and Dizzee Rascal. Wiley regularly performs at the yearly event Culture Clash, with his crew Eskimo Dance which is made up of many big names every year. Do not miss him on the main stage on Saturday!

New on the scene, it’s the Grime and Rap artist Stefflon Don. She first began remixing singles by other artists including, Section Boyz’s track ‘Lock Arff’. The rapper first came to my attention when I saw her featured on Jeremih’s ‘London’ tune with Krept and Konan. Stefflon Don has now been releasing original music including her single ‘Real Ting’ which has been remixed by the previously mentioned Giggs. Her latest track ‘Envy Us’ features  Grime artist Abra Cadabra. Big things are expected from the female rapper, make sure you join her on her journey… It’s due to be crazy!

You may know him from the BBC, broadcasting both on Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra, but the DJ doesn’t stop at one genre – he is a representative of all of the UK’s music cultures and never fails to bring versatility to the table. If you are interested in Indie, Pop, Grime, Dancehall Reggae and much more, this is an act at Sundown that you’d be silly to miss! It is certain he will bring you the hottest new tunes combined with a great atmosphere. As a DJ and Broadcaster respected across the industry, he will not let you down!

Grime MC, AJ Tracey has been creating music for years; however is now gaining the recognition that he deserves. He has previously released mixtapes, ‘Didn’t Make The Cut’ and ‘No More Looney’ under the name ‘Loonz’. His artist name was then changed to AJ Tracey and he has now collaborated with artists such as Santan Dave and M.J.Cole. He is set to have an explosive career and Sundown is sure to be a part of that. It looks like this is just the beginning for AJ Tracey, so make sure you go and see on the main stage on Saturday.

So there you have it, my ones to watch for Sundown 2017. What a weekend it is set to be, the countdown begins!
