These combined services will operate up to every 10 minutes throughout the Festival. Details of the timetables can be downloaded using the following links:
Cloakroom and cash point machines
There is no cloakroom on-site so travel light.
There are ATM machines on site. The bars will also accept credit / debit cards.
Light & Sound Warning
Exposure to loud music can cause permanent damage to your hearing. Please visit www.dontlosethemusic.co.uk for information on how to protect your hearing at Sundown.
Please note that strobe lights and smoke machines may be in use within event site.
Security and Searching
The event security will be thoroughly checking all bags belonging to ticket holders upon entry.
Sundown Festival wishes to promote a safe environment for all customers, guests and staff.
Searching is a condition of entry to the Festival, refusal of a search will result in refusal of admission.
Anyone found in possession of illegal substances or contraband goods will be refused admission or ejected from the site and may also be liable for prosecution.
Any items found that may be used in an illegal or offensive manner will be confiscated and passed to the police on site.
CCTV is in operation across the site and images are recorded for the prevention of crime and disorder. In these cases the images will be passed directly to the police.
Any items that the organisers consider may be used in an illegal or offensive manner will be confiscated.
Persons suspected of carrying out illegal and / or offensive activities onsite may be searched.
The right to admission to the event is reserved by the organiser and event venue, which may take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account at their reasonable discretion, and may from time to time carry out security searches. Sundown Festival Ltd would advise customers that no refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or ejected from the site on account of being (or appearing to be) under age and attempt to buy alcohol or have alcohol bought for them, declining to be searched, abusive, threatening, drunken or other antisocial behaviour, carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances.
Illegal Drugs Policy
The Event Organiser has a Zero Tolerance approach and in no way condone the use of or supply of drugs on their event site.
We would remind all patrons attending the event that laws apply to people attending events the same as they do anywhere else in the country. The dealing in or use of illegal drugs is not condoned by the Event Organisers. Drug enforcement laws are as applicable on site as any where else in the country. If you deal in drugs, it is likely that you will be arrested. Neither anti-social nor illegal behaviour will be tolerated and participants will leave themselves liable for eviction from the event.
Persons found in possession of or dealing in drugs will leave themselves liable to being prosecuted.
We will reinforce this policy by; Publishing drugs policy clearly on our event website, this will clearly state a zero tolerance approach to all forms of drugs; Signage at entrances, key waiting / queuing areas stating our policy (again clear signs stating zero tolerance)
We will search all patrons entering the event and advertise as a term & condition of entry, which is advertised with any other terms and conditions on website and reverse of entry tickets.
Security will take an active role in monitoring any suspected drug dealing and will work in full co-operation with Norfolk Constabulary. When there is a strong suspicion of drug dealing, Security will inform and assist Norfolk Constabulary in identifying and detaining these individuals. Security will evict persons strongly suspected of drug dealing and handover the persons to Norfolk Constabulary for further investigation.
Within the camping area a welfare and information point will be staffed 24 hours per day. Staff will be briefed on possible symptoms of drug use. The event medical provision will be available 24 hours per day. Anyone who is in need of treatment will be passed to the medical team.
The Premises Licence issued to Norfolk Spectacular by South Norfolk Council has conditions attached to it relating to the reporting of Crime and to formulate a drugs policy with Norfolk Constabulary.
You will be searched at the entrance. Any items which the organisers consider may be used in an illegal or offensive manner will be confiscated. Neither anti-social nor illegal behaviour will be tolerated and participants will leave themselves liable for eviction from the event.
Surrender Bins will be provided for the event to encourage festival goers to deposit drugs in these bins before going onto the site. These bins will be subject to appropriate security measures.
This is a surrender bin not an amnesty bin and police will, where it is in the public interest, take appropriate investigative measures.
The police will expect the Event Organiser to put in place a robust and effective search procedure of patrons entering the event or suspected of possessing drugs once in the event itself.
If persons are found within the event to be in possession of controlled drugs they shall be presented to police who will undertake appropriate investigative measures. They will then assist Security officers if necessary in evicting the persons from the event.
Where there are grounds to suspect that a person is involved in the Supply of Controlled Drugs, they will be arrested and dealt with by the police accordingly.
The details of Security staff detaining any persons for offences will be recorded as Witness details on the Polices Crime Information System and Statements obtained where required.
Food & Drink
Customers are not allowed to bring their own alcohol on site due to our strict licensing conditions. We have ensured drinks are reasonably priced at all bars.
Campers are allowed to bring their own food and drink to the camping area only.
No chairs, tables, BBQs or other such articles may be brought into the event site. Soft drinks in glass or cans will not be allowed into the event site.
NOTE TO CAMPERS ONLY: You are allowed to bring alcohol to the campsite on first arrival only. No Glass. You may only bring in an amount that you can carry by hand - no wheelbarrows or by any other method.
You will receive your ticket/s in form of an e-ticket immediately after purchase. These contain a scannable barcode – this is standard practice to avoid fraudulent ticket copying. You need to either print off your e-ticket or ensure you have it on your phone. Bring with you to the event where it will be scanned upon entry. If you are unable to print this off, we are able to scan the e-ticket on your smartphone (Android etc).
Should you not receive them, please contact the ticket agent where you bought your tickets. Please note: There will be no discounted tickets available this year.
Your tickets will contain the card holder’s details; please do not change this as your eticket will be invalid. E-tickets can be used by someone else, not the card holder but please be aware your eticket can only be scanned once on entry - used e-tickets will not gain entry
We urge you - do not buy tickets from anything other than official ticket outlets (online and in person). For a full list of genuine ticket outlets, please see the tickets section of the Sundown website. Tickets purchased from unofficial sources will not gain entry to the event.
All tickets will incorporate a bar code system that will be scanned on entry.
